About Jacs Bookkeeping Services
Julie A Chapman, founder and proprietor of Jacs Bookkeeping Services, has had a varied career to date including working in an office environment and is highly trained in all aspects of office / secretarial skills.
She started her career as an office clerk inputting data into bespoke software at a large well known business. With a willingness to learn and the accuracy of work, soon moved on, developing skills in sales and purchase ledgers, banking, telesales, the taking of company minutes, typing, account control, invoicing retailers and wholesaling companies, debt recovery and customer service. Needless to say Julie was offered promotion within the company.
Moving on, Julie served a national retailing company tuning and developing a greater experience in customer service, merchandising, stock control, staff management, floor management and admin duties including banking.
Moving away from business and retailing became an Administration Officer for the Benefits Agency dealing with and processing claims for Jobseekers Allowance. With her already highly developed skills in using bespoke software systems, Julie soon accomplished knowledge of the tailor made software for processing claims and gained further experience in customer service and a vast knowledge of the benefits system.
Julies' last position before becoming self employed was working as an administrator for a domiciliary care company. Gaining further experience in customer care, invoicing, debt control and once again learning to use a new bespoke software system. She undertook many duties using a computer, including customer records maintenance, creating documents, letters, memos and staff notices using Word, Publisher and Power Point. Gaining experience in using Excel for recording customer accounts, staff wages, clients hours and for monitoring the increase or decrease of hours provided to clients by the company. Julie soon became proficient in compiling Staff Induction Packs, Staff Handbooks and Customer Service Packs, making alterations to the content as necessary.
Deciding at this stage to become self employed to pursue her chosen career, she studied for her NVQ3 in Business Administration which was achieved as well as a course in Sage Bookkeeping with merits and distinctions.
